102 Silverweed Way, Sun Valley
Susan P. Perin paints her surroundings to share the beauty that few might see, from the Wilderness of Central Idaho to places of industry. She finds excitement and joy in raw nature, agricultural patterns and settlements, in the infinite variety of landscapes in America and beyond. And she seeks to capture the effects of weather and light in acrylic, pastel and watercolour.
The pandemic was a chance to dig into ourselves and painting. After recovering from the bug, I would find those wonderful nearby places of peace and joy ~ away from human distractions ~ and put brush to paper and canvas. Later, people really responded to my findings after the earthquake and our early spring colors.
