Artist Bio

Born in Baltimore, Md, I have lived in the Wood River Valley for the better part of 28 years. I graduated from Rollins College in Winter Park, Fla with a degree in Business and Political Science. On a ski trip to Sun Valley in 1994, I met my future husband, David Rau, whom I married in 1995. We were both working in television and relocated to California for about 5 years.. When I became pregnant with our second child, we moved back to the WRV full-time. Our children, now grown, were raised here. As empty-nesters, we enjoy our little house in Bellevue and two dogs.

Artist Statement

I have always had an interest in art, color, and texture. As a lifelong crafter and letter writer, I began creating collage art cards and stationery with vintage paper, wallpaper, tissue papers, old labels, vintage postcards – just about anything I could glue! I sell individually and in sets – which I often box in cigar boxes. One thing has led to another, and I now use collage art everywhere – birdhouses, boxes, clipboards, gift tags, notecards and stationery. I hope to add small wall pieces to my art. For me, art is calming and allows me to be quiet, introspective and in the moment. It is my Zen.
